The Tragedy of Anne Frank and Friends - August 4th 1944

I've often thought of Anne Frank, the young Jewess who, with her family members and some friends, was taken to the Concentration Camps. This terrible event took place August 4, 1944. It always reminds me of how low men and governments can sink when they put their minds to it.

Many is the time I have watched films and documentaries concerning the event. I wonder how many of today's young people even know who Anne Frank was?

Granted, she was not the only person killed in the Holocaust. However, she is a true symbol, she is iconic.

Yes, a very sad story, so much talent destroyed because of hatred.

Perhaps one reason she is remembered is because of the diary she kept. Not many victims of the holocaust did so.

I'm shocked so few have, not only visited this article, but commented on it, as well.
