Blueberries -- How Do You Prefer Them, Raw or Cooked?

You like Summertime. You don't like the humidity. You don't like the heat. You don't even like the blaring sunshine. But you do enjoy the longer days. You do enjoy the delicious fruits. You do enjoy the savory vegetables.

As to the fruits, you especially enjoy the peaches. But you do also enjoy those little blue globular fruits we call blueberries!

Do you prefer them raw, perhaps with cream or iced cream, or do you prefer them cooked, as in a pie?

And which blueberries do you prefer to buy? Those from North Carolina? Those from Michigan? Or those from New Jersey?

Personally, I vastly prefer those from Hammonton, New Jersey. While I was born in New Jersey, I am not particularly loyal to any geography. I am loyal, rather, to taste!

Would you like to know why cooked blueberries taste so much different than raw blueberries? That question can be answered, you know. Here's the article for you:

I like blueberries. We can grow them in this climate but they are a very new idea, they were not available only a few years ago, now they are common. I have tried blueberry muffin - very tasty.

Are there any seasonal fruits grown where you live?

It sounds refreshing.

Apples, plums, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, cherries .... anything that grows in a temperate climate. People with greenhouses can grow tomatoes, grapes and peaches but they don't grow outside here.

I prefer them as a candy, covered in milk or dark chocolate coating. They are very good. Aldi markets sell them. here is a link for you to take a look at Vincent: http://offers.kd2.org/en/us/aldi/pQSm/

The label's certainly pretty. I don't doubt they are good. I do think, though, I'll take my chocolate straight and my berries straight.

Okay, but I think you would really enjoy them. I do prefer both ways. blue berries frozen or fresh right out of the pack. It's even better when in a blue berry muffin.

I love homemade blueberry muffins with an abundance of large berries in them, cut in half with a thick slice of creamery butter in the middle.

This is good any time of the year. I enjoy them when I can get some.
