By in Persona Paper

And so it begins!

I am thrilled to know that the site is staying up and active.
I have been over at myLot and also writing in my blog and what not.
I have been on the Mint Vine site more than anything because that is an easy site to make money on.
All you have to do are surveys and your pretty much set.
Come check it out if you want.. https://mintvine.com/users/register/4ce8ec057a40d5b501dd61cc8 .

My Independence day was very quiet which is always good.
While everyone went to the fireworks, I stayed home with the pup and we cuddled on the bed
and watched some television.
The neighbors behind me were shooting off fireworks until midnight.
It worries me when they do the whole firework thing because the streets in this
neighborhood are all tree lined.
The last thing this neighborhood needs is a fire because of the stupid fireworks.
How was your holiday?

My Lot has way too many ads. Way too many. I write science pieces on Decoded Science and on my own QuirkyScience.

Fireworks are not just harmless fun. They can be extremely dangerous and can terrify children and animals, as well as injure people.

I used to be on myLot but gave up after a while - I guess I just got fed up with the whole world of pay-per-click, treadmill blogging. I started my own blog but have rather let it wither the last few months. I have tried various survey sites but, again, it's treadmill stuff and I'm not interested in that any more.
Apart from official firework displays organised by those who know what they are doing I don't think fireworks should be allowed in built-up or residential areas.

Writing a blog requires lots of discipline and self confidence. There are a lot of people who enjoy social media and I think the treadmill types of writing sites are tending towards pay per click if only to keep their numbers up. For me, I enjoy social media at times but would prefer more quality content over clicks on ads. As for the fireworks, Dallas is notorious for celebratory gun fire and that is what I fear most during those times.

My holiday was good, thanks! Went to a barbecue at a friend's house. Thanks for the heads-up about Mint Vines--might check it out.

It's nice to see you here as well. I am definitely glad that this place is still opened. Hopefully you have success with your blog.

I just returned to the site a week ago after a long while when the prior announcement was made. I am overjoyed to see PersonaPaper back in it's original state. This is a great outlet and resource for writers. I think we have a unique and supportive community emerging here and I would hate to see it go! Glad to be back!

Don't go knocking MyLot people. They were the first site of its kind. Look, Persona Paper would not exist if it were not for MyLot. Even Bubblews would not have existed. And besides, MyLot actually pays unlike all the copycat sites out there. And the people are awesome there. Many of whom I am sure are still here. I never gave up my account here, but I also have not posted anything since they stopped paying. And with Niume. They stopped paying so I stopped posting. At least MyLot is legit and consistent. Always has been. Hopefully this site starts paying again. But who knows what will happen.
