The Giant HOGWEED: the U.K. Terror

It contains within it some big-time light-sensitive poisons called furanocoumarins. Do swollen limbs, reddened skin, and huge blisters intimidate you? If not, does the possibility of severe damage, even death, cause you to consider safety first?

If you're smart, it does. The worst of plants may be the Giant Hogweed. It is so harmful it has even been chosen as the weapon of death in some television programs.

Read more about this, along with the science behind it in the article, Chemistry of the Giant Hogweed: a Macabre Cloud with a Silver Lining?
