Love Me, Love My Dog

When I saw this picture in Pixabay of this little Pekingese I was astounded at how much he looked like my Pekingese Sammy. They could be twins. I knew I just had to use this picture.

Sammy has been the best little dog we have ever had. He came to us several years ago when he was just a little puppy. We have loved him and treasured him ever since.

Our neighbor, a good friend, found out that he had lung cancer and would no longer be able to take care of him. He was heartbroken. Letting us now about his condition he also said he needed to ask a big favor of us.

He wanted us to take Sammy, his beloved little dot. He wanted to make sure he was well taken care of and he new that we would love and pamper him. Of course we said we would take him.

We have never regretted that decision. He gives us unconditional love, entertainment (he is quite funny) and he has been a blessing to our lives.

So, when I say, love me, love my dog...it is a true emotion of my heart. He is the perfect example of unconditional love.

So sad, lung cancer. Unfortunately, I thought at first you meant the DOG had lung cancer. Of course it is the former owner. Animals, properly cared for, are a blessing to their owners. The catch is: are we a blessing to them? That is the way it is supposed to be. We were assigned to be the caretakers of the earth (and the animals).

It was sad, the reason we got him,l but he truly has been a blessing to us. He has been pampered and loved. You can see it in his eyes, he loves his life.

Dogs can be your best friend and they always give a lot of love without expecting much in return

Dogs become true family members. We only ever had one and when she died at about 14 years old, it was heartbreaking.

It is like losing a member of your family when you lose a pet. They love you, stand by you, and trust you with their life. I am sorry for you loss, it stays with you no matter how long ago it happened.

Even deformed puppies after they born we take care of them so much. Meanwhile our connection with pets never fail to relieved all stresses in our lives. Hope little Sammy meet his new master, just like you, in his new life. :)

I love dogs. I don't own one. One day I will find one at the local pound. A little dog like you have, one that doesn't eat 10 pounds a day. lol
