WebNuggetz : My Squidoo Alternative for Affiliate Marketing

Several years back when I decided to try earning money via , it took me hardly any time at all to realize that if there was no traffic to my stand alone website or blog, then it was not likely that I would earn commissions from sales of affiliate products.

About the same time I signed up for programs, I was also trying my hand at . A fellow blogger sent me an eMail that had a banner link to HUBPages. So I clicked, signed up and discovered that HP participated in the . From HP, I found Squidoo, another site that participated in the AA Program. Everything was fine until Squidoo got acquired by HUBPages and then HP started with these strict rules about how many products could be advertised per HUB, etc.

A friend suggested that I sign up for Webnuggetz.com . She said the site was created for affiliate marketers. It was good advice. I get by with a little help from my friends. :)

I haven't gotten into affiliate marketing yet. I was just checking out HubPages today--they have SO many different sites! They are quite well-established, although I've heard people complain about how much work is required to create a hub. I hope it pays well! Let us know how Webnuggetz goes for you.

I hadn't heard of webnuggetz before, might be worth looking into.

Hubpages is well respected, though it's annoying that when you DO have a good site, if it doesn't get traffic, they remove it from their list of promoted pages. My daughter has a hubpages account and had 10 good hubs on it that weren't earning any money at all, because she removed them from being published after Hubpages deindexed them. I persuaded her to let me try and get some traffic for her and even though Hubpages kept them deindexed (they now said they were not sufficient quality i.e. were not long enough) I got them into paying mode! ;D

We have a Facebook group and the owners are very nice.

Well I have not done the research but somebody is buying products through Amazon via my account and I see commissions. It's not an oil gusher but it's better than nothing. :)

- If I'm not mistaken … I could be wrong, so don't quote me … I think there are sites where you can submit a URL for indexing. If so, wouldn't that mean that even though HUBPages, de-indexed your HUB via their system, you can go directly to Google, for example, and submit your URL? I don't know. I'm thinking that's a possibility.

When you say you got them into "paying mode", what does that mean?

Sounds like another site I need to investigate.

If I can do a page like this I'm sure you can do one that's even better. emoticon  http://www.webnuggetz.com/give-the-blessing-of-a-tree/

That looks great. Definitely a site I need to consider.

A couple of questions. Does the Amazon affiliate notice automatically appear on every page? And do posts have to be approved before they are published?
