Unusual food combinations when 2 people have different ideas for a meal.

My wife loves chicken. I myself prefer eating hotdogs

Also, when my wife is in the mood for pizza, I am in the mood for chili.

So I came up with some unusual food combos that are radically different than the ordinary.

The deep fried chicken frank

She likes chicken and I like hot dogs so I came up with the idea that would satisfy both of us:

Take a package of chicken franks, batter them in flour like a chicken and deep fry. This is the best of both worlds and a most unusual thing for you to eat.

Chili pizza

She likes pizza, so do I, but ... I sometimes am not in the mood for pizza and would opt for a good bowl of homemade chili:

Take a large pizza crust, lightly brown in oven, then remove and top it with pinto beans, onion and seasoned hamburger and sliced tomato. Sounds like a marriage made in pizza&chili heaven.

Orange sherbert Pie?

This might sound rather impossible, but think about it. sometimes I am in the mood for orange sherbert and sometimes my wife would rather have a pie of some kind. Well, I know it sounds a bit strange and likely a bit nuts but if I was trying to make this I would do the following:

Substitute lemon pudding for an orange sherbert pie using a combination of vanilla pudding mix with orange jello and orange slices. It might not taste that great. But I am experimenting here.

Bacon & Chocolate brownies?

Yep. Sounds fun to do. Chocolate covered bacon bits mixed in a chocolate fudge brownie mix.

BLT sandwich with bacon bits in the mayonnaise.

Take a jar of Hellmann's mayonnaise and add a pound of fully cooked and drained hickory smoked bacon, broken up into medium sized bits. Mix well and spread over butter fried toast in a skillet, add sliced tomatoes and enjoy.

What's for breakfast? You wanted French toast and I wanted Waffles

To combine these would seem impossible, but ... I am trying to use my im maggine nation!

Take those frozen waffles they sell in the stores ready to be baked or toasted in an electric toaster, then dip them in egg and milk and cinnamon and sugar and fry in a skillet. Might work.

She likes Chicken Pot Pie and I like Tuna Sandwiches. ... Hmm.

Tuna pot pie spread out on toast? Give me a break. Okay Don't mess with them chicken pot pies and leave the tuna salad sandwiches alone.

Some of those sound very tasty. I like the bacon in mayonnaise idea.

Yep. I thought it might be something that could be incorporated with salads or as a basic condiment for many types of sandwiches. Yum. I love bacon. Who doesn't? Oh yea, there are some who don't eat pork. But for me, bacon is the best.

I think I now have indigestion just reading this. Don't mess with my pizza or my chili. I make both and we eat leftovers when we want to.

What creative ideas you have here. Your taste and your wife's taste sound like my husband and I. He is a hot dog person through and through.
