Mother moves from old people's home

My mother was not very happy in the old people's home where she was staying, so I think she will be happier in the new flat she has found. It is close to the river and some parks with old trees. It is also close to shops and she could also take a bus to go to the city, where she can find shops and restaurants.

She has rented a truck with two people and they will take all her books, furniture, clothes and possessions to the new place. I have seen a plan of the new flat and it has one bedroom and another enclosed area, which could be used as an additional room. It also has an area where she could grow some plants and flowers. She will not have meals provided as in the home, so she will have to prepare meals by herself. I don't think that will be so difficult, as breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas could be just cereal, tea or coffee. I'm sure she will be much happier there!

As long as she can still do some things for herself, she will probably enjoy the privacy.

Just as long as she gets frequent calls and personal visits from family to keep her in the loop and keep her happy. Family is all about keeping close and in contact. It works for me. I am glad to hear about this.
