After noon tea with friends

Our friends arrived from Sydney and came to have afternoon tea with us in our Nelson Bay flat. They were lucky, as the morning had been foggy, but in the afternoon there was blue sea and sky, with beautiful views and we even saw a dolphin from up there. We had a good chat and they even asked about our two children, who are now living in Melbourne, where they are working and studying.

We prepared some tea and served the fluffy apricot cake that my husband had prepared for the occasion, which they liked very much. Before leaving they gave us a big metal box and when we opened it we found that it was full of rolls. They tasted very nice and they reminded me of the barquillos we used to eat when we went to the beach in Lima, Peru, where I come from.

How about posting a recipe for apricot cake? It sounds delicious.

I noticed that the metal box had the following written on it: Wing Wah and Rouleau Sauffee, whatever that means!

It does sound like it was a nice visit. It's always nice when you can get together with friends.
