Is it ok for a woman to travel alone?

when people heard that I want to travel on my own they called me names: some of them I don't even want to remember. I hope that this year I will find the courage and actually get to experience this. I've been having this on my mind for a long time but so far I didn't get to actually make it happen.this was for various reasons but basically the main one is that I allowed such people to discourage me.

the thing I love most in this world is to travel.but the fact is that I'm sick of waiting for one person or another to decide if he/she wants to come, if she/he has the money required.

I want to travel alone because I don't want to depend on anyone but myself

Do as you want. There are women who travel alone and I have read books by them, very interesting. Just make sure you do all you can to keep safe.

If you want to travel by yourself, you should do exactly that. You should do some travel by yourself, if that's what you want to do. I don't see the problem with that. I hope you are able to make it.

I feel the exact same way! I want to travel but have no one to ask and I want to travel by myself because then I can do all that I want to do, the only fear is that I will be a woman alone. And I know that's a terrible way to think, but until this society changes and rape and kidnap charges are addressed more seriously, there will always be women like us who will be afraid to travel because we fear for our safety.

Of course, it's OK for a woman to travel alone! More independence and you dare to do more things!

Anyone traveling alone - male or female - needs to be extremely cautious. There is an atmosphere, an air, that is dangerous to the one breathing it. Sometimes something like what you will wear when you arrive at your destination can mean survival or not surviving. It all depends.
