Introducing 'SMART FEET'

Ever wonder what it would be like to have a pair of walking shoes that would tell you when to get up and walk?

This is my idea. It came to me while having my second cup of coffee and watching a Ben Affleck movie, 'The Accountant'. It's about time the makers of smart body wear technology take it a step ahead by creating such things as smart shoes that keep track of not only when you are on your feet, not sitting on the sofa, and how much walking you do and like having a built in lazy alarm that sends a vibration to your feet when you spend too much time at the computer or just sitting for too long, and like a pedometer, records the number of your steps, the miles, the calories and your weight even.

I wonder if my idea is as original as all that. I mean, I can think of something but when I Google the ideas I think of, that are essentially my original ideas, I find out all too quickly that someone else has already thought of it, and possibly gone as far as to market that idea. Well, just to be certain or not, I will Google the idea now and come back with a link below, if such a product is already on the market or if such an idea as a walking shoe that is not only a lazy alarm but a pedometer shoe that keeps track of your mileage, and perhaps, even keeps a record of where you have been walking, for instance, a built in GPS mapping app that traces your steps from point A to point B and all points in between and back again!

Good idea. Sitting too much is bad for you. Good to have something to encourage you to get up and move around.

I have a pedometer already and just clip it on my belt loop. I only need good insoles to support my feet properly for good arch support and evenness to my stride. I find walking very relaxing. Hope you had a very nice Valentine's Day.

Very good idea. I have read somewhere that walking 10,000 steps a day every day makes you lose one pound a week. I seriously think I need those shoes.... I sit down way too long and then it takes all my energy to walk a few blocks. Thank you for the links....
