Having Complex PTSD

I'm sure most people know that PTSD stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The "Complex" part refers to an ongoing situation that causes the trauma rather than a "once and done" sort of thing.

People generally get it from being abused in one way or another or even in various ways over a period of time.

I have Complex PTSD. I was diagnosed with it some years back after a couple of ongoing situations that were not the initial effects but were, I guess you could say catalysts in waking up the original traumas and caused to some new symptoms.

This is one reason I've been absent from writing here as well as other sites I have accounts for.

It's not that I'm incapable of writing. I get overwhelmed by where to start, how much time to spend, I worry about not giving the proper attention to those who comment and/or stress about not getting to read other people's posts.

So instead of just working it the best I can, I shut down, become paralyzed in that I just give up and don't do anything. Without direction I had become pretty lost in where to start let alone continue.

I've been steadily depressed and exhausted and I became scattered about how to budget my time.

And then, so much time passed that I forgot about the writing sites.

I am still struggling about how to organize my time though, if I choose to write at other sites besides this one. It seems that it would be more productive to write at one only but I don't know.

If anyone has any suggestions, advice and recommendations on how to divide time and still get things accomplished and make a little money, I would highly appreciate that.

Hi AuraGael , sorry to hear about the problems, that must be very difficult for you. You are welcome to write here, however, the site is not paying at present, so it will not earn you money. In terms of writing and getting things done, I learned a thing many years ago when in panic mode and it was to ask THIS question, "What is the best use of my time right now?" Then do that single thing. It helps focus the mind. We can do only one thing at a time, so concentrate on that.

I have depression issues myself and I take medication for depression.

The only advice I have is for you to just plain write. Sometimes writing about what you are experiencing releases some of the pressure you are feeling. Also it might help other persons who suffer just like you do. As for the money part, there are several sites where you can write about your experiences and discharging all your negative and possibly positive issues. Just write and write until exhaustion if need be.
