Should I approach them

I was innocently checking my emails tonight when I came across an email from a company that sell lean meats. I have ordered from them before and their meat is butcher quality, yet fat controlled and high protein - exactly what someone following some of the weight management programmes I sell would find beneficial.

Obviously I am trying to lose weight too which is kinda how I got into this business in the first place and they had a great offer on so I ordered their February deal box which is at a great price. Since I have used them before and know what to expect I was going to blog about this great company on my business blog, but I decided to wait till my order arrives so I can take pictures for the piece.

I then went to their facebook page, just for a look really and realised that I could potentially write the piece then post a link to it on their timeline. I then wondered if I should message them telling them about the piece rather than posting it in the hope that they would post it themselves therefore exposing it to more people?

Of course there is only a slim chance they would do that but it could be worth it right? There are a few things I still need to set up on the business blog, most notably a link to my online shop so I would need to get these figured out first too. Should I do it? I mean if they don't respond I could always post it to their timeline anyway or post it on my business page and tag them couldn't I?

They will probably be delighted to do that, ie post a link for you. Most companies on Facebook WANT positive customer feedback. They don't like links that go to someone else's rival site but a business blog is not a rival to selling meat. No harm in asking! And some time AFTER they have posted the link (if they do), you could maybe ask if they have an affiliate program, so people who come to your page and see their product might go there and YOU get a bit of commission for it.

Well that's what I thought, its not like we are in a competing business or anything so no reason for them not to link to my blog.

I sometimes give my own reviews on products I purchase via Amazon Prime. They seem to appreciate this.
