Ha, Finally Heard It Was Back

Boy am I glad Persona Paper didn't completely shut down. It seemed like it just wasn't gaining much enthusiasm for a while and I almost forgot to check in just in case.

Lately all I have been doing is checking all my old photos like the one I am using with this post. I added text to it using Paint.exe and Excel.

The kittens name was Spunky, I adopted him in 1992. As you can see he is a wee bit wet but I didn't do it. His step mom Gracie my golden retriever at the time gave him a thorough bath as soon as I let her see him and after that they became the best of friends. Spunky actually thought Gracie was his mom. He was adorable and lived with me for 17 years.

We, my furmily that is, took in Sophie in 1995, she was a mixed doberman, and he helped Gracie and me raise her. Then after Gracie passed away he and Sophie helped me raise Mykey.

I believe Spunky was a Maine Coon breed or at least a mix thereof, he peaked at 21 pounds when he was probably right about 3 years old and kept that weight until he was right around 15, the last 2 years he did lose a couple of pounds but he was still quite large.

I miss my sweet boy but he will always be in my heart.

It's nice to see that there are some people trickling in.

I am also glad that PersonaPaper is still alive and ready to explore the people who wantes to be with. As you welcome yourself, I want to welcome myself in 10 months and one week.

Howdy, and thanks

It was giving me so much trouble for a while that I just didn't try again. It looks like it's actually become easier to use. Nice

For a while I was having so much trouble here that I just went on to other things but I'm glad I googled my name and it popped up which reminded me I hadn't checked in lately.

Yes, I'm glad they fixed the problems I used to have. I'll be checking in more often now.

I think it was some of the ad sites. The ads they served up made this site run very slow. There are no ads at the moment but that also means no income either.

Same with you. I am always checking my account here today.

Good to see you here. Have just got back here myself

Welcome back. I'll admit that I didn't check this place for a while either. It's only when I heard someone mention this place that I decided to check it out. It's nice to be back.

Good point. The problem I had here was getting my posts to actually load, so many failed that I simply gave up.

rebelann1949 wrote on December 16, 2016, 2:03 PM

Ahhh, you as well. Yep, it was not letting me load the posts I wrote so I gave up for a while. It seems easier to get them loaded now. Glad you're back as well.

rebelann1949 wrote on December 16, 2016, 2:04 PM

That was me too a few days ago. It seems much easier to load posts now.

MegL wrote on December 16, 2016, 3:25 PM

Yes that was a shame. The ad sites served their own demise!

It's just such a nice place to be casual and make friends and talk about things. I love it here.

rebelann1949 wrote on December 17, 2016, 2:04 PM

Yep, it's a nice change from Mylot for a while, I like it there too but it's nice to have PP to go to.

rebelann1949 wrote on December 17, 2016, 2:06 PM

Isn't this site also supported by ads?

MegL wrote on December 18, 2016, 8:01 AM

Not at present rebelann1949 . The adverts were turned off when it was thought the site was going to close. Although I have taken over funding it, there is no income at present. I have to find a new way to take PersonaPaper forward. I am trying a few things, so we will have to see.

rebelann1949 wrote on December 18, 2016, 12:09 PM

That is going to be hard. Maybe just find a few good supporters whose ads aren't as intrusive as some tend to be. I know that a lot of people are missing the old Redgage and Bubblews sites that were targeted at writers. Perhaps it would be best not to pay anyone for wanting to write their ideas.
