The Christmas fayre went well
I had a stall at a Christmas fayre last week for my Forever Living business and it went pretty well all things considered.
The event hadn't been well promoted, in fact the woman that organised it told me she was out putting leaflets through nearby doors just an hour before it started. However there were a good few people there and I spoke to just about everyone.
My stall only had a few gift baskets on it and some tester products because I hadn't gotten enough notice of the fayre to get a proper stall organised but I managed to make up a few things to sell on the day. I made £30 on the day and took some orders for gift baskets worth £60 or so.
Possibly more importantly I ran a prize draw where people had to enter their email address for a chance to win one of our great products. I put a box on the form for people to opt out of receiving further information then emailed all the people who didn't tick the box inviting them to like my facebook page and giving them a copy of our brochure. I also handed my business card to just about everyone I walked past. Getting the word out is the most important thing in business after all.
I was surprised by the amount of people who had heard of, or even used our products before but for whatever reason no longer had a distributor. It amazes me that people give up on an opportunity like this after already investing in it, but I guess it cant work out for everyone. Several people have told me they would be interested in placing orders after Christmas so we will see how that pans out.
I am having such fun running my business, I just love meeting people.
