I hope you're happy now. I guess America will be getting that WALL after all. But still I wonder if it will hurt the USA rather than help it?

Its all about that WALL Trump wants to build.

Why bother? What kind of message does that WALL send to the rest of the world?

Actually I don't like the idea of a WALL built around our country. It sends out the opposite message that was supposed to be the Hallmark of American diversity and culture as is the message that was presented in the form of The STATUE OF LIBERTY.

Already Trump has modified his intentions with Obamacare.

I will be waiting for the latest news on that WALL and we will see just how far Trump gets with it.

If the people of Mexico and other Southern border countries think that WALL will keep them out of AMERICA I seriously doubt anything good will come from it. But we will just have to wait and see what comes about. It would be money poorly spent. Right now we need to build bridges, not walls.

Many years ago, during the depression I think, there was a wall built in Northern Ireland, called the "Mourne Wall". It provided work for men when there was no welfare system. The men walked 6 miles each way to lay stones entirely by hand. The wall is still there and each year, there is a "Mourne Wall Walk" which follows the wall up and down the Mourne mountains. It is quite an exertion. Maybe the new wall will provide work and earnings for local people?

I think it is a very bad idea. Just saying.

Yes, I agree. The Mourne wall was not meant to keep anyone in or out of anywhere. It was a public "work" meant for providing employment for men in times of economic depression and no welfare.

That is significant indeed.

There is no way any such wall is going to be built. Such an idea is so politically untenable it's ludicrous to even contemplate building one. Trump's heart may be in the right place but there is no way he can do this without the backing of the legislature and that simply isn't going to happen.

I wouldn't bet the farm just yet on the wall. Of course, I'm surprised the Volde—I mean, Trump was elected. I despise him and everything he stands for. But he's not president for life. We get to do this all over again in four years... oh, joy.
