New site I discovered

Ok since none of us are earning money here anymore and most of us are still looking for somewhere to earn some money writing I thought I would share this new site I came across.

As most of you know I love twitter. Ok lets start again, I absolutely hate twitter and don't even have a personal page there, but I appreciate its value when it comes to marketing my writing and have used it for years in that sense.

I logged on the other day, which I don't do regularly since I have auto-tweeting set up, and found a tweet aimed at me. It was from a site called Niume asking me if I would post one of my articles there and they would be happy to tweet it out for me. I checked out the site and kinda liked what I seen so I signed up and threw up a quick post.

Within minutes people were reading the post and giving it 'hype' (sort of thumbs up over there) and I was earning pennies. I have put up a few posts, no research required at all and am already earning more day on day than I do on hubpages or even my own blog. Its hardly a fortune but I think once I have a decent amount of posts up it could turn into a reasonable earner. If I only have one other site to focus on that should leave me more time for here which is great because here is where I really want to be.

My first post was also featured by the staff over there! and I have had loads of extra activity on twitter and been invited to join a post sharing site just for Niume members.

If memory serves me correctly we are allowed to post referral links here now (if not let me know and i will remove this last paragraph) so if you are interested in joining you can sign up here if you sign up using your email we will both get $1 when you post your first post. Posts don't need to be long there, but you must include an image or video, your actual post could simply be a description of the photo.

You will need an account to comment - feel free to register or login.

I have seen several posts on FaceBook from people writing on Niume but didn't realise you could earn well there.

From what I gather the earnings programme is in its infancy. I had never heard of it until they tweeted me, but I quite like the interface. pay is $1 RPM which some people would turn their noses up at but its better than I get on my blog some days and although my RPM is higher on hubpages, I have earned more in two days on Niume than I have all week on hubpages because I am getting more views with very little effort on my part.

Thanks for sharing this one. Might be worth a look.

My site makes more than that, but there are some articles I don't want to publish on my site, so I'll look into it.

melody23 wrote on September 25, 2016, 12:14 PM

My adsense RPM fluctuates greatly from day to day as do the amount of views they seem to count compared to the view counter on my blog. It is one of the main reasons I am moving away from blogger and possibly away from the idea of my own blog entirely.

What I am liking about Niume is that you can publish in as many categories (they call them 'spheres') as you like so you are not tied down to the subject of your blog. It is one of the things I loved so much about this site too.

I am doing pretty well there in just a few days. I am also 'meeting' some old writer friends who I knew on a previous site who really know the internet writing market, if they like it then it is probably a good place to be.

melody23 - i am aware of Niume but am not a member. From what I have seen it offers a good chance to earn some cash. As always with these kind of sites the more effort you devote to it the more reward you will receive. I know one of the administrators of Niume and know that she would not become involved with any site which was in any way dodgy. I believe it is a site you can trust.

I am also a member of Niume, though I have not posted yet. It seems to be a legitimate and well run site.

I appreciate your information. Everyone who does take time to write articles is better off knowing places to earn money for it. I for one have been on myLot more than any other site because it is so simple to do.

BarbRad wrote on September 27, 2016, 2:21 AM

I like the site, but I don't expect it to last. It isn't as serious as it should be about plagiarism. I see many photos posted with no source listed, including one from one of the founders. In that respect it reminds me of tsu. I think it's still wiser to invest most time into your own sites. Use Nuime a bit like myLot. What is your user name on Niume?

It isn't really serious about any of its rules lets be honest, I have seen at least a dozen posts in a language other than English just in the last few days but I have some hope that they will get more serious about this stuff. I am Kirsty over there

The site needs work for sure, they have issues similar to pretty much every site I have ever been on when they were reasonably new (including here) but I think they are trustworthy enough and I really like the layout.

you do need to put in work, as you do anywhere you are writing for revenue share but the amount of work I have put in there vs other places compared to the amount of views/earnings coming in is far better.

melody23 wrote on September 29, 2016, 12:58 PM

I really like it

melody23 wrote on September 29, 2016, 1:00 PM

We all want to write where we are comfortable. My days of well researched, 1500 word, cited, sourced and proof read within an inch of their lives articles are over so I just want somewhere simple and hassle free to write about things I already know about

lookatdesktop wrote on September 29, 2016, 11:53 PM

That sounds like a great idea.

Wow, this is super helpful and cool. Thanks! I will look into it, and if I join I will certainly use your referral link.

melody23 wrote on October 2, 2016, 9:14 AM

Thanks. I really like it there so far. Don't get me wrong no one is going to earn a fortune, the days of good money in revenue share are long gone but I am no longer at the stage where I expect to earn fortunes from my writing, I tend to buy things off amazon for the rabbits with my online earnings, if I can pay for their food that's a bonus for me really.

AdGoggleKo wrote on October 20, 2016, 3:19 AM

I am there but haven't posted yet. 1,000 views is difficult for me. I am earning $1 plus daily at without too much effort. 😊

Just registered a while ago but still do not know when to earn a dollar.

Started at Niume at the beginning of 2017. I was surprised when one of my posts was featured or "Staff Picked" as they call it. LOL. Thought the moderators made a mistake. But I wasn't going to bring it to their attention. To my surprise, more than one of my posts have been featured. I have 105 posts as of May 11, 2017. I've heard good and bad about the site. My experience so far has been positive.

melody23 wrote on May 12, 2017, 5:33 AM

Yeah they changed it to 'staff picked' rather than 'featured' after I wrote this post for some reason. My first ever post there is still marked 'staff picked' despite their own rules saying it only lasts for a week. I am writing a lot about my business on there just now and using it more to get attention for that but I am still putting up the odd post on other subjects. With my earnings there and the very minimal effort I put in (I literally only visit once every few weeks) I can guess that, if someone were to put in the time there they would earn pretty well compared to other similar sites. I earn more there than I do on hubbages with much less effort which is probably why I like it so much because I hate all the effort required for hubpages
