A movie and popcorn just was not enough

I already wrote a little bit more about this on myLot, but I just wanted to put a note up here.

I went to see the new Star Wars movie that came out a couple of months ago. I just was not impressed with it. Perhaps, it just lost its appeal with me? But I found it to be much more slow moving, and quite boring, then what I expected. I heard some great reviews from friends who thought earlier.

the price was fine. It was a free showing here at the base theater, where I live. So, I bought a bucket of popcorn and a soda, and that became my dinner. But even that did not give me much satisfaction. I feel over-stuffed, but I don't feel satisfied.

The Star Wars movie previews and trailers did not impress me. I was even embarrassed with the fact that C-3P0 and R-2D2 and that other thing showed up on stage on Oscar night. The kids might love this stuff, but to me I prefer the original Star Wars. But it doesn't do the same for me as before. I guess I have higher expectations or have become a bit more mature.

I liked the original star wars but it has lost its appeal for me. Yes, popcorn and soda are not satisfying, no matter how much you eat. emoticon

Sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your film and popcorn. Better luck next time.

I did not watch the Oscars. I heard I didn't miss much.

I absolutely love popcorn. But just didn't do anything for me yesterday. But, the upside is that it's fiber!

Oh, I always enjoy popcorn. It just did not feel quite like dinner.

Oh there were certain moments when I thought I was watching the Twilight Zone. Chris Rock was the Master of Ceremonies and boy did he go on with the racial jokes I tell you that.

I've never seen a Star Wars movie or wanted to. I'm not all that interested in space themes. I do, however, love popcorn.

Me, too. And I can eat a bucket by myself. If it were a double feature, I would have had a free refill, and could have eaten the 2nd bucket.

I have not been into the movies for quite so long now.
