Imagine ... storing donuts in the microwave to keep them warm and dry?

I asked my wife where the apple fritters were at ...

There, setting in a box was one single apple fritter, setting in the middle, inside the microwave oven.

This sounds a bit unusual, but considering the humidity in our city it's probably a good idea. Storing bread on the table, wrapped in it's store bought package with a twisty at the end won't always insure that the bread will remain dry enough not to grow mold on it's surface, after several days of setting there.

This is an interesting thing about using the microwave oven to store bread.

Below are some very educational how to YouTube videos for keeping bread fresh longer:

And did you know of a way to keep a banana fresh longer?

Just watch this YouTube about it:

I don't know exactly how a microwave oven would be a better storage space for bread or a box of donuts, but hey, it's worth a try. Just don't turn on the microwave with the donuts inside of it. lol.

In the summer, we store bread in the fridge. That keeps it fresher longer. Donuts would not last long enough in our house to need stored ANYWHERE!
