Do not judge by looks....
I have came across so many people that judge people by looks alone and I just shake my head and wonder why they want to be so petty by doing that. People fight a hard battle to get to where they like. You only know what your battle is. You do not know what other people have gone through. And if you ask them I almost guarantee that the other person will not tell you their complete story.
They will always hold something back.
I remember once when an older man that I worked with in a factory told me that I had it easy. That all I do when I get home is go to bed. And he never got the chance to go straight to bed when he got home. That he had obligations to handle after he got done working the night shift. And all this because he knew I as single. But what he did not know is that I too had obligations. I worked a night shift. Went home in the mornings and took care of my wheelchair bound father. I did that for a very long time.
So just because someone looks to be at a certain place in their life doesn't mean that they didn't have to weather a great storm to get there.

I have learned not to judge music artists based on the fact they have long hair like country and rock and roll artists. If they can sing a happy song I will be happy with that despite the fact that they look like hippies or Santa Claus.

It is always dangerous to assume you know everything about someone just because you know one thing.
1A long time ago, my father taught me not to judge people by the way they look, but by the way they act and treat other people.

right, people are generally good and kind; and becoming less judgmental starts when we put ourselves in their shoes

A person who sizes you up without knowing you is not a person for you to concern yourself with. It's really none of his business what you do when you leave work! Seems like he was trying a “sneaky route” to dig into your private life by telling you all about his. Which may or may even be true. How ould you know? Since you probably won't follow him home from work to verify!
1OK! Maybe I'm misjudging someone I've never seen. But wouldn't be surprised if he was just trying to get all up in your biz-ness! Some folks are just plain nosy! Some are haters and snakes. Be careful out there.

So true. I sometimes make assumptions when I see people in new cars with cell phones. Just because they have stuff don't mean they have the easy life. You can't judge a person by appearances. The car might be a rental and they might be living on credit.
