Hostages Released

The big CNN Headline that was in my inbox this morning was that the four American hostages that have been held in Iran for over a year have been released. One was a journalist. I am not sure about two of them and who they were. But, the main hostage I know about that was released is the Iranian American Christian Pastor. I am very happy to learn that he is free now. He has a wife and children who have been pleading for his release for awhile. I also had read that he was not in good health lately in the Iranian prison he was being held. I am so glad that he and the other three have now a chance to be free and see their families and get nursed back to health.
One thing I did read was that this whole thing was a prisoner swap. I don't know who we released to them. But, I am just happy for the ones we got back.

This is great news. I had not heard that Iran was even thinking about letting them go.

Wouldn't it be cheaper if prisoners didn't have to be swapped because there were not prisoners taken because there was no conflict? People just never learn, do they?

It is always good when prisoners are released or swapped. In this day and age they could have shot them when they were swapped.

It's good to know they have been released. It seems that they always get jailed for some utter crap charges, nothing provable.

Swapping is normally done and here too between India and Pakistan this game is played often.
