One Reason I'm Not Always On Here....
I really don't want to complain, because I like Persona Paper. I like the people and how easy it is to navigate through the website. But I think it is time to come out and share one of the reasons why I am not always on here, and one of the reasons why it may take me a bit to get back to people.
The website does not always load right on my laptop, whether I am using Google Chrome or Firefox Mozilla. It will load really slow and nearly freeze up, or give me the "Not Responding" treatment, or I have to "Kill" the page because it is unresponsive. Sometimes a box pops up and I have to "Stop Script" -- it depends on which browser I am trying it on. Yes, I clean out the cache and cookies, and yes, I have scanned my computer. There is just something about the browsers and website that clash. I don't have this issue on the desktop, but it's a newer computer.
Now I am not saying the problem is on Persona Paper's end. It could be the ads on the website, but then again, it could be a problem with my laptop. I have had issues with other websites in the past, so that's always possible. I am not taking nor giving blame, because these things happen. I am only saying that sometimes I don't comment or post because I just do not feel like dealing with it. And sometimes I think I just need to send my laptop off (I have a protection plan on it) and just let ‘em see if there is anything wrong, and fix it. I just need to back EVERYTHING up first.
My schedule (i.e., babysitting and writing) is also the reason I am not always active, but I am not talking about that this time around.
Anyways, I'm gonna head out of here. Work is a little bit slow, but I’m going to make-do with what I got, and do as many as I can. You all have a good day, and take care!

I am sorry you are having those problems with the page loading, and crashing. I shouldn't speak so soon, but I have no problems with the site (just a little slowness with the pages sometimes).

I can understand that. There are times when "attack ads" (for lack of a better term) force open an advertiser's web site or the app store when I'm on my iPad. That's not PP's fault, of course, but it's so frustrating that I eventually give up and say "let me see what's happening at myLot."

I also have similar issues with loading being very slow here. I am using windows 10 and my laptop is not that old, I have only noticed it on here and another one site that's also heavy in adverts which makes me think its the ads. Its not my connection because I have fibre so it has to be something to do with the ads. Its not like that all the time either, I am writing this comment without issue (so far lol) but the other day it took me 20 minutes and three different browsers to post a three line comment on a post because of how slow it was going. it would literally type a few letters and stall completely. this happened to me before and I started using an adblocker which resolved the problem, but it doesn't help the site at all so I try not to use it if I can.

Thanks. I just wanted to finally come out and address one of the reasons I'm not on here -besides my schedule. It's not as bad on the shared desktop, so I have to wonder if it's on my end.

I had the issue with MyLot last night, and sometimes Spellcheck.net - I'm not gonna blame the websites because it could also be my own laptop.

Awe man. It's definitely not PP's fault, but I can understand the frustration. I have issues at times with MyLot too, so I try not to stay on either website too long. I need to just back everything up on my laptop and just send it off to see if anything needs to be repaired/updated. I have a protection plan on it.

I wondered if it was the ads as well, and of course my own laptop. I bought my laptop back in 2012ish, so it's still Windows 7. I don't want to purchase a new laptop right now because that's a lot of money, and this one still works. Like I told someone else, I may need to use my protection plan to see if anything needs to be repaired/upgraded. I paid the extra for the protection plan anyways lol. I don't always have the problem on the desktop, which is Windows 8.

Same reasons I had when I still have lot of time to spend here at persona. But right now I think everything is okay, but I am wondering where did the ads go? I only see a few or there is a problem with my browser.. but I like it that way because I can use persona faster than before.

I had the problem much worse in windows 8 than I do now on windows 10, I literally couldn't do anything on the site without an adblocker. now its more intermittent (I am writing this comment fine) so I cant quite put my finger on whats causing it. However it never happens on my tablet, since my tablet is android I have a feeling its something to do with an ad that uses flash since you don't get flash on android but that's just a theory.
