Stained Glass Art Kit

One of my relatives gave my Sister and I an art kit one Christmas when we were young. It was a stained glass art kit. The project outcome was not actual glass, it was plastic that looked like glass. There were Christmas ornament frames within the box. There were multi colored plastic small beads. What you did was you sat an ornament frame on a toaster oven pan. Then you put the different colors (how you wanted to) into the frames. Then you put the pan into the toaster oven and baked it for a certain amount of time. The plastic beads of different colors melted into each other and created a unique stained "glass" colorful Christmas ornament. After the ornaments cooled, then a plastic hook could be put into the top for the Christmas Tree. Also, the ornaments could be set next to a window and the light coming through made the ornament look extra pretty and nice.

Those were fun. We called them something else, but I forget what, now. ;)

I remember those! I never personally got any but my think my sister did. And do you remember Shrinky Dinks?

My granddaughter got one of those a few years ago. She enjoyed it, though it was very "close" work. She got a glass painting kit for Christmas, this year and enjoyed herself making a storage jar for her mother's birthday, out of a used coffee jar.

I never seen one of these kits. Just as well, as I am hopeless at practical things like this

Thanks for the memory and had the same thing when I was younger and I really liked it and I still have some of the ornaments and a few were on my Christmas tree this year.
