Survived the holidays.

So I, once again have been away for a very long time... I have been busy this holiday season, for those of you who know me a bit you can probably guess why... My little jewelry business has been running on little under two years now and I just made it through my second Christmas season... I learned a lot from last Christmas and I am happy to say I was a bit more prepared than I was last year for the holiday rush... Sadly though I still did not expect such an influx of business.... Between online and local sales I still was not as prepared as I could have been, but I know more this year than I did last year... Each year I learn more from the previous year, so if I am still going by next year I will use this year as a learning experience as well... Hopefully by then I won't stress as much as I will have learned from my mistakes.

Running a business like that I am sure it a big challenge with lots of things to learn. I am glad you got through this Christmas Season.

Yes it is :) Last year I was still rather new so when friends warned that the holidays can get hectic and sales really pick up I didn't expect much as I was still trying to build up a online shop... I was wrong and got more orders than expected... I ran out of bubbles mailers... I quickly got more then promptly ran out of gift boxes... Quickly got more gift boxes and promptly ran out of gift bags... This year I stocked up on those three things and ended up running low on chain... Hopefully next year I will remember to order extra for the holiday season so that I don't have to run to the store!

While I know it must have been stressful to go through, I congratulate you on what seems to have been a successful holiday sales season.
