Good morning on the eve of Christmas Eve
It is 5:30 a.m. and I have been up since 1:30. I am exhausted, but cannot seem to sleep, so I am going to get up and likely take a nap this afternoon.
The weather for the next few days does not look like snow tomorrow, but we will definitely have rain these next few days, with a chance of thunderstorms.
Last night, I went to the commissary to pick up a couple of dozen eggs to do some baking, if I can get to it. If not, I will do so after Christmas to share for the rest of the month. That is the beauty of holiday baking.
I also went to the base exchange (department store) to find some Christmas ornaments for the packages I give. I always give a new ornament each year to certain people. This year, I was able to get ornaments at half-price the exchange's cost. One of the ornaments had a $10 suggested retail price; exchange price was $5.99. My cost: $3.00, and they do not charge tax. Even though the selection was limited, I found many ornaments that will suffice for the package tag ornaments that will hang on next year's tree.
Heading to the shower, then to dress. I want to be busy by 7 a.m. At least, I hope to be drinking my first cup of coffee for the day.
