Dinner and Homeland

I have so much to do yet this weekend, and it will be cut short because of going back north to stay overnight to be close to the county buildings on Monday morning.

I do have to eat something this evening, and I am going to try to get a couple of more episodes watched of Homeland: Season 4.

I have some rice and meat that only will require me to heat it up in the microwave, and I think I will eat some sliced cucumber and tomato tonight, with fresh onions, cilantro, and balsamic vinegar. I also bought some garlic naan that will be nice to warm up and sop up the sauce with the meat.

I will check back in a couple of hours.

Did you finish watching ''Homeland'' season 4? Do you use balsamic vinegar often in salads?

CoralLevang wrote on December 20, 2015, 4:51 AM

Thanks, cheri ! Enjoy your Sunday!

I hope you are feeling better lexiconlover . what are "pocket nachos"?

CoralLevang wrote on December 20, 2015, 4:52 AM

wolfgirl569 I just want to get through Homeland! *laughs*

I haven't finished the season yet. I think I have four more episodes left. I find this season is really strange ... and disturbing.

And yes, I love balsamic vinegar for salads and cooking.

Hope enjoyed it! I'm in a showhole now since finishing Homeland Season 4. We're re-watching Downton Abbey, but I really want something that has me on the edge the way Homeland does.

You always come up with some good sounding meals. Enjoy your meal and Homeland.

I have heard a lot about Homeland, but never seen it.

I just finished it today. Wow. Got me in the one episode in this season with Brody. Kept me on my toes. emoticon :winking:
Have you seen Boardwalk Empire? GREAT series, but definitely Scorcese, so pretty graphic.

CoralLevang wrote on December 20, 2015, 1:08 PM

Thanks, Mark.

Interesting series. A bit odd, at times.

FreebieJunkie wrote on December 20, 2015, 1:37 PM

Yes I know what you mean! It really got me too. My husband loved Boardwalk Empire, but I couldn't get into it. I should give it another try. Sometimes when I go back to a show that didn't really grab me the first time, I wind up really getting into it the second time. Breaking Bad was like that for me.

It took me awhile to get into Boardwalk Empire. But I trusted the person who told me about it. I think it took me into the second season to "hook me." But you need first season to lay down the foundation.

Do you usually have white or brown rice?

Rufuszen wrote on December 21, 2015, 11:37 AM

I like Damian Lewis, he does a good American accent, brilliant in Band of Brothers. I like quirky and odd shows, may have to give a whirl.

CoralLevang wrote on December 21, 2015, 1:39 PM

I eat both of many varieties of rices.
