Time to get back to work on my book

Last week I finally started work on my first ebook. I had already opened a Kindle Direct account, and was updating some information. That somehow spurred me to go ahead and start.

My plan is to take two of my HubPages articles that together total about 6000 words and extend them by incorporating a lot of the information that I had researched but didn't have room for in the articles. So that means there will be a lot of additional writing and rewriting to do.

What I spent most of my time on last week was getting my research notes in order so that I can begin to lay out the outline for the book. And that's where I interrupted myself.

The interruption came because I started thinking about a HubPages article I wanted to write concerning what's being called "the war on Christmas." With Christmas fast approaching, I thought that should be my priority, so I dropped everything else to work on that.

Well, I posted that article today, and now it's time to get back to work on the book.

Unless, of course, I think of an article I want to write about New Years. And then maybe Valentine's Day...

Best of luck with your book. I admire people who try to take their passion for writing to the next level. I want to do something similar for my short stories but I keep putting it off.

I look forward to reading your recently posted Hub. Best of luck with the book. I wrote most of the first draft of a new novel for NaNoWriMo this year and am taking a couple weeks off before I go back to it.
