Sunday Morning Warm-Up

Technically it is still autumn but it sure feels like winter outside! It did make me feel better to see a bit of sunshine peeking out of the clouds while walking my dog this morning.

Once in from our Sunday morning walk, I checked The Weather Channel which said it is now 41 degrees but feels like 34. And it is a damp cold, as it rained on and off yesterday and through the night. Yes, I can feel it in my old bones!

I have trained my dog Valentino to quicken his pace by giving him the "Let's run!" command. I used that this morning on our walk as a bit of jogging seems to make me feel warmer. Being that Valentino is a coonhound, he prefers to stroll along with his nose to the ground, running only when sniffing or seeing something to chase (like a stray cat!)

Keeping the heat set at about 68 degrees, it is warm inside the house. I am thinking it is a good day to do some housework between writing projects to keep the blood pumping and give my body a warm-up. While sitting at the computer desk my hands will be wrapped around my warm coffee mug!

Other than going outside to run in this, I am on point with you. LOL

I usually take the dog to the dog park on Sunday, my day off, but I think not today. I just can't seem to feel warm today so am staying home, LOL It may be a long dog-park-less winter!

We are having a nice day here so far, warm and it was sunny. The rain is coming though. I can look out the window and see the clouds moving in.

Good to see somebody is warm! I just came in from another short jaunt with the dog and it is still frigid outside with very little sun peeking through the gray sky.

*sending warming thoughts your way* Hope your day is nice and comfortable.

Those warming thoughts work, thank you! It remained cloudy and cold today but I am warm inside (literally and figuratively!)

How funny, and how odd, that here in the much-further-north Virginia it is considerably warmer than in Florida! I was out in the ministry this afternoon, teaching the Bible to individuals I call on. It was a grand day, indeed. I'm happy to subscribe to your profile. I feel sure I'll find many interesting articles.

Well, here in Ohio it sure isn't warmer than in Florida! I just relocated recently from Florida to Ohio and am not enjoying my first winter back here in the Buckeye state. No doubt we will both enjoy one another's writings!

I hate even letting the dogs out to potty on days like this. Glad I do not have to stay with them

I feel you! I am wishing I had a fenced yard to turn the dog out into for the winter. But walk him I must! I will say our walks might be a bit shorter for the next couple of months. I have no desire to be out in freezing temperatures for long walks. I think we need a treadmill!

I do have to step out to shut the gate but that is better than staying with them lol

It's colder than usual here, too. I'm about ready to climb into my warm bed.

RuthCox wrote on November 30, 2015, 8:39 AM

Yes it is, LOL We just came in from this morning's 30 minute walk in 34 degrees, oh joy!

RuthCox wrote on November 30, 2015, 8:54 AM

I hear you! Me and V both have slept later than usual the last few days. It is much warmer staying in bed!

We are having good weather for the past weeks and I hope that it is always this way. God bless

RuthCox wrote on December 2, 2015, 9:27 AM

I hope so too, for the both of us! However, I just read a post from wolfgirl569 who lives fairly close to me, says the weatherman is using that "S" word, yucky!

You are trying to keep warm and lately I have been trying to keep cool in Thailand. Perhaps in another week or two we will have about a month of cool pleasant weather.

No matter what we do not have extremes here which is a good thing although I have always wanted to experience snowflakes falling on my head which has never happened even while being in a country where it is normal. emoticon
