Cannot Seem to Get My Rear in Gear

I am not sure why I am having such a difficult time in getting myself moving today. I feel so "blah." Almost melancholy.

I have managed to get in the shower (twice) today. I jumped back in the second time to wet my hair again, as it is easier to get it managed that way.

I did not make anything for the potluck dinner. I do not even have any time to go to Costco to pick up something. I am grateful to live on the base and have the commissary. They have a bakery there, or I will find something else to bring.

I did not get to the post office, though I did mail the two cards out at my mailbox. I had the postage for them.

I have not even had coffee or anything to eat today and it is nearing 2:45 p.m. I will stop by the Starbucks on the base, after I get to the commissary.

But now, I really do need to get my rear in gear if I plan to go to this potluck dinner. People are to show up around 5 p.m. and I have just about two hours to get there.

Yes, these last few days I've had trouble getting going. Today I've mainly been watchig DVDs. Lazy boy.

I wish I could blame this simply on laziness.

That's a great photograph. Finishing a big job usually results in me taking a few days off to recuperate.

I haven't had any motivation myself in quite some time now. I don't know what it is. I know my sugar has been up a bit and that might be making me feel like I do. But I have had no energy and no motivation for anything.

We all have those kind of days once in awhile.

Hope you get to the potluck and have a good time. But we all have those days when it is hard to get up and going

Low blood sugar from not eating. Residual wear and tear from travel. A sub-conscious reluctance to engage at the potluck. Any number of things could be the culprit. Sounds like it's time to dig out the popcorn, a favorite DVD, curl up under the wool blanket, and simply chill. It's either that or grab hold of the tail waving in front of you and follow along... emoticon

I hope you were able to get moving, get something for the potluck, and make it to the dinner.

morilla Then get your tail a-waving, and I'll grab hold and join you!

I did. Will write about it soon.

You have posted a lot on Persona Paper today, so I think it has been a very productive day for you so far.

I've got "old man's tail," which means there ain't much to wave. emoticon

It's been decent, though not the readership I would have liked today. but I won't complain.

Your readership is a lot better than mine.

I'm looking forward to reading about it.

I think we all have those days sometimes. Hopefully you have something to eat, and have a good day.

I got my fill last night and am still full this morning, though I really did not over-do too much.
