Saturday morning plans include coffee
A half hour ago, I listened to the National Anthem play through my open window. Living on a Naval base, it is one of the things of which I never tire.
I did not leave my place yesterday at all, other than to move my trash and recycle bins back up from the curb. I had plans to do get some things done, but just did not feel up to it, as I was not ready to deal with anyone that was out in the Black Friday mess. Today, I have to be up for it.
I have to figure something out to bring for the potluck tonight. I may opt for a pasta salad, or bring the butternut squash dish that I shared here two months ago. That may require less time to make, though I have to go out for the ingredients for making either.
I have to get to the post office to mail out two more postcards--one to the Ukraine, and one to northern Norway. I have to admit that getting notification of one to Norway, actually excited me!
I also need to stop by the credit union, and (of course) a Starbucks for my cup of black coffee. Call the latter one of my guilty pleasures in life. I know I can make it at home less expensively, but there is something about the ritual for me.
Have a great Saturday!
