Moon Rising Spirit of Thanksgiving

As I walked the streets with my dog this evening I watched the moon beam not-quite-full but bright as it sifted through the clouds in its pathway to the end of Thanksgiving 2015. On this day I spent my time with loved ones—my dog, my friends, and my self—a near perfect day.

The end of this day is near and I sit here in awe of the feeling of serenity engulfing me at this time. My dog lay sleeping nearby in my bed, warming it for when I join him for a snuggle and a good night of sleep. I hear the soft sound of his breathing, occasionally interrupted by a whimper of a puppy dream. I chuckle and hope the recap of his day is as good for him as mine is for me.

I am ever so thankful for this blessed holiday and the gifts of good food for the body and the company of loved ones to feed the spirit. No doubt the blessings, along with a bit o' sunshine, shall continue come the rising of the sun tomorrow.

It has truly been a good day for the spirit, wolfgirl569 All in all, a great week of thanksgiving.

Yes, it's no always easy to keep feeling the blessings after the one day set aside to do so -- or the warm feelings that Christmastime brings -- but if more of us concentrated our efforts to do so, I think we'd all be happier and feel more fulfilled.

So true, Feisty56 and keeping the spirit of Thanksgiving alive year-round is something I am getting much better at doing.

Finding the blessings in each day and giving thanks is something we all need to learn to be more aware of. It seems that our writings are on the same wavelength these last couple of days.

It is a wavelength worthy of our time and travel, CoralLevang so I think I will continue on this pathway for a while.
