Operation Thanksgiving

I am preparing for the holidays. This is my first year hosting Thanksgiving at my house. I am not worried about it. I think it will turn out quite nicely. I am thawing my 15 pound turkey in the fridge. Once Thanksgiving is over, it's time to start getting ready for Christmas. I won't be hosting Christmas. I am brave, but not that brave yet. Tomorrow I will be sitting down with a pen and paper to list what must be done before the holiday. There will be some cleaning and shopping on the list. I need to fetch my new couch Friday, and the rest is fairly flexible. I need to call the internet and get it fixed. With it being the holiday, it might take awhile to get someone out. The big task is cleaning my oven. I feel like I have a blessed holiday ahead.

I hope all goes well with your Thanksgiving Dinner you are hosting. My family and I are having our Thanksgiving meal out at a restaurant (that is a part of a lodge) this year.

Good luck with your Thanksgiving dinner. What kind of fixings are coming with the turkey? I always liked the stuffing, yams. cranberries, and pumpkin and mince meat pies.

When we lived in the US, my Mum said that Thanks giving and Christmas were too close together!

I wish you great fun, we don't celebrate this holiday in my country but we have other celebration. It is always a good time. I hope to have a big family to celebrate with when I grow old and useless.
