90 Degrees of Wrong

I just had something goofy happen to me. My frosty little dog jumped up on my lap to get warm. In doing so he bumped both of my hands while I was trying to type on my keyboard. All of a sudden I was staring at a screen that went 90 degrees to the right. Hm, that was a new one! Who knew a screen could tilt to one side or another? Maybe you already knew that but I sure didn’t.

So how do you fix 90 degrees of wrong? Beats me! I had to go google it. I’m so thankful for search engines; they solve so many problems for me. I found a fix quick enough. Hold down the Control (Ctrl), Alternate (Alt), and Arrow (->) keys down all at once.

No more tilting my head to the right to view my screen. Now that my computer is back to the way it should be I’m left wondering, why would a laptop do that in the first place? What’s the point of a tilted screen? Perhaps for presentation purposes? But wouldn’t that make everyone in the audience be forced to tilt their head right? Maybe a chiropractor came up with that idea to garner more income.

Have you ever had a tilted screen happen to you?

I also found this one out by accident and I also had to look it up on Google! BTW it's a great trick to play on friend or family member when they leave their keyboard for a couple of minutes!

Hahaha! I never thought of messing with someone else's computer. Thanks for the idea, I have the perfect drunk friend to do it to. ;)

Lots of mobile devices can be tilted to a 90 degree variant from vertical to horizontal orientation such as what occurs when using a Kindle Fire HD tablet or iPad. With all the new touch screen devices and such, the option to change the image orientation is provided in case you have a removable screen like a laptop/tablet combination device to change from reading an Ebook to watching a movie.
