November Goals Right Around the Corner

I was asked to write something this morning by two of our PP folks about where I was after this first few days back-in-the-saddle starting a new month, and what I have done to get there.

It has been about five-and-a-half days since spelling out my November goals .

Three goals were set: A number of articles each day; a date to reach 13,334 coins (payout); and a date to reach 15,000 coins.

Each goal was well-within reach, and I considered that I had not been able to be quite as active, due to business travel, and subsequent illness. I needed to to catch up with other things in life since my return.

I also took into consideration another upcoming trip, as well as the preparation for the upcoming holidays. I did not want to feel as if I had to kill myself to reach any goal.

As things stand with this posting, this is the 33rd submission since the month began, averaging over 5 per day (5,7,4,4,6) and 7 so far today.

When the month began, coins were at 12264. I set my goal for 110 daily, wanting to double October's daily coins averaging 54 from the 14th to the end of the month. This would put me at the payout minimum by the 10th of the month and my personal goal of 15K coins by November 25th, the day before Thanksgiving.

Thus far, I am 200 coins away from the first marker and anticipate reaching it in the early morning hours of the 8th. With a daily average thus far of 156 coins, it will put me on track to my 15K marker by the 18th of November, a week ahead of schedule.

However, due to travel on the 14th-19th, I cannot count on time to interact, so it will likely be once I return, by the 25th.

What I find fascinating these last few days is that I have not over-extended myself in the least. I have felt little to no pressure to perform.

I am simply doing what I do best--set realistic goals, write and read daily, and encourage others when I can.

That is it, folks. No voodoo dolls. No magic spells. And no paying attention to those who say that it cannot be done.

Goals are always good and necessary too. That only lead us to success.

As you say, it is setting goals, so you can SEE HOW YOU ARE DOING and then modify those goals as needed for your life.

I admire you for being able to post so much and make almost every post a winner. I posted twice yesterday but interacted maybe less than an hour. The result was a nickle earned in one day!!

So, that means that with little effort, you earned 33 or 34 coins.

Now, from 10 p.m. last night to 7 a.m., my coins did not move. This tells me that in that time frame, there was absolutely no outside activity from others in PP or otherwise. This is why I say that it depends on us to get to our goals. We can build some momentum, and others will gather, but it starts and ends with us. It is not limited to PP, it is everywhere. Reading patterns are changing in the world around us. So, we have to figure out what works best for us, or we will drive ourselves crazy.

Slow and steady wins the race -- or in this case, achieves the goals. Each time I read one of your posts about goal-setting or progress toward those goals I am re-energized. Thanks -- I'm almost beginning to feel like the Energizer bunny. : )

It can be helpful to set goals for yourself. I wish you the best of luck and hope you are able to reach your goals.

Even for all the issues that have been discussed between us, it all points back to what we can do individually for ourselves. That's my focus, and will be, until I decide to change it.

And I think you will look cute in the pink bunny costume. emoticon :winking:
