Remove...Ignore...Delete...

I wish it were easy in life, as it is in some technological situations, to simply press a delete or ignore button when we encounter things with which we no longer want to deal. It would be such a useful feature to have in so many places in our world.

Remove...

It could rid our lives and this world of a plethora of annoying tasks, ridiculous meetings, and the ineffective busy work created by those who sign the paychecks.

Ignore...

Relationships and divorces would require much less effort and heartache. We would no longer have to tie the courts up with frivolous lawsuits aimed at doing nothing other than trying to hurt the other.

Delete...

It would be easier to ward off those whose sole intent is be the wet blanket used to stifle, suffocate and extinguish the fires burning within others.

Remove...Ignore...Delete...

Life would be so much easier if we had this button. But that is not how it works. We cannot just push a magic button to rid ourselves of the annoyances, the hurtfulness, the negativity, or any of the other challenges we face in all aspects of life.

There is no easy way, but we can make choices to limit greatly that which we allow into our lives to have whatever influence or hold it has on us.

Things... Images... Information... People...

It is up to us.

All of it.

“...The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! ... you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you...”

Exactly-it's how we react to a situation that is important! It is what makes us who we are!

And always jumping to what's wrong, rather than what's right is a habit that we have to try to avoid. emoticon  Thanks, deafdiva !

I totally agree, I wish I had a delete button concerning certain issues in my life right now.

Dawnwriter wrote on November 5, 2015, 1:22 PM

To be very honest, I would not delete anything from my life., not even my sorrows or my troubles or my mistakes because they all helped me get where I am today and what I am today. I would use the Remove button only on the 10 or so pounds I feel make me overweight but i hope the brownies do not get deleted along with them emoticon

I agree here, really. I try to see each person, each situation, and each challenge as a way to learn.

And 10 lbs. or brownies. I know what choice I would make! emoticon :winking:

What's the old saying? What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger...

And that was most definitely unique. emoticon :winking:

That would be a wonderful way to deal with problems. Too bad it cant be done

Yes, exactly it is in how we play the game of life. Making choices.

We'd better get used to it. Many things are out of our control that we will have to adjust to unless we want to go down fighting them. It's easier to find a new job than to find a new country -- unless you're rich enough so it doesn't matter.

We all are, my friend. I have wondered where you have been lately. Have missed you since I got back from Tejas!

LoudMan wrote on November 5, 2015, 8:43 PM

It's been wonderfully busy here. So, you're back home?

CoralLevang wrote on November 6, 2015, 1:21 AM

Yes, got back home a week ago. Getting ready to go back out again.

Reminds me of the movie "Click".
