Awake Before the Roosters

Insomnia decided to visit me again last night. It had been quite some time since its last visit. Though I am tired, I am not going to go to sleep this morning, but will take a shower and get on with some things today, and try to get a rest midday, or early to bed tonight.

Because my Friday fiasco at the urgent care clinic ( click here for the story ) robbed me of my time to get some things done, I have to take care of that business today--banking, post office, library and dry cleaners. I also have to pay rent, and other bills, and get my paperwork scanned to send to be reimbursed for the travel expenses.

It is 5:30 and, if I can get out of here by 7:30 a.m., I will stop for coffee to begin my day.

A good morning and start to your week is wished for you!

I have to dry my hair, get dressed, and am going to get out soon. Hope your day is tremendous!

Were you able to do this yet?

CoralLevang wrote on November 2, 2015, 2:07 PM

Not yet. I fell asleep on the couch. LOL

Oh, those antibiotics they can make one sleepy at times.

So can being up for 30 hours without sleep! emoticon :winking:

Very true.

I get insomnia and Mr B cat knows when I've woken up and walks over me, purring like a good 'un. It is very difficult to get back to sleep!

I will be adjusting to the time change for a few more days. I was in bed last night before 9:30 and still had trouble waking up when my alarm went off at 5:30 this morning.

I hope you were able to get all your errands done.

It looks like you will be busy on Monday. Why don't you make and drink your coffee at home? I'm okay with just drinking instant coffee.

I am a chronic insomniac, and it stinks sometimes. More often than not, the wee hours finds me working on my writing, or reading. So it goes...

CoralLevang wrote on November 3, 2015, 11:23 AM

I could certainly do that, but I like the act of having coffee in public and sitting there while I sip and read, and people watch. I can always drink coffee alone in my house, but I will drink water here.

I wish I had a cat for companionship. I cannot have one due to my severe allergies.

CoralLevang wrote on November 3, 2015, 11:24 AM

Besides the jet lag and the time change, I'm sure that doesn't help.

CoralLevang wrote on November 3, 2015, 11:26 AM

You and I are not alone in this, Telynor . I cannot tell you how many times I have existed on no sleep from 24-96 hours. emoticon  It is why I am relegated to living alone, most likely. No one would put up with it! LOL

Not sure I'd do this, but a friend of mine has allergies to cats and took meds so that the family could one; now that's love! I have read that sphynx cats are okay for those with allergies as they are hairless. They look a little strange, and feel warm to the touch, but are just like every other cat!
