Why Don't Skateboarders Just Skate Their Driveways

Because that would be like shooting a ball at a wall in the long run its not real training ! Yes you can learn some tricks flatground however in order to go pro as a skater you need rail grinds, to be able to do tricks over stairs and learn to manual across curbs etc ! So in order to actually get good at skating you're going to have to skate a skatepark and if you don't have one guess what you're going to have to skate some streets since that's the only way of true progress ! So sorry bank lady for skating your manual pad and grinding your ledge but my goals will be obtained regardless if you're going to kick me off I'm going to come back since you every place eventually closes! Skating its a sport that is aggressive nothing should come between you and your trick if you want it than take it and that's means occasionally skating something illegal ! Skateboarding is a lifestyle that is often criminalized by the media don't be brainwashed its kids enjoying being outdoors or would you where them sitting at home playing violent videogames !

You are right on several points. The best way to become an expert at anything is to do it and video games are no substitute for real world activities!

Skateboarding is not as prevalent here in our rural area as it is in some parts of the country/world, but still, several of the public parks have a section just for skateboarders with the various apparatus to practice. Unfortunately, not every skateboarder has access to a car to take him/her to a park, so practicing where able still occurs.

Are you stating a skateboarder has the right to skateboard on private property and destroy property and hog the sidewalk creating a pedestrian menace because skateboarding is a lifestyle?

I don't swerve into people on the side walk I let people through and I'm polite I'm kicked off property! I live in West Virginia we don't have a lot of places to skate so if there is college that I'm not legally able to skate on I'll still skate it !!
