The Burger Barn of Amarillo, Texas; Another Hidden Treasure

A few weeks back, my sister gave me one of the best combination burritos I've ever tried. I asked her where she got it and she told me about a little place called The Burger Barn.

It took me awhile to find them but, am I ever glad I did. They're located at 8528 Dumas Drive in Amarillo, Texas. This means, either folks in the neighborhood or on their way to Dumas are likely to be the only people stopping by.

But I think they deserve a little fame.

As you can see in the image, this is just a little place where you pull up to one side, order, then pay, to then pull around to the other side and pick up your order.

Most of the locals here have been trained to call their orders in and save time in line. The number to call in is 806-381-9499.

I had the Philly Cheesesteak Burrito this time and it tastes exactly like you might think it would.

Prices are very fair, considering the value. The folks working there are friendly. The food is wonderful. What more is there to say about a place?

If you ever happen to be in Amarillo, I highly recommend you stop by The Burger Barn and have a good, old-fashioned, stick-to-your-ribs meal.

This review is based solely upon my experience and I am not paid in any way by the business reviewed. Still, feel free to let them know I sent you.

It is always great to find a place that you enjoy the food. And even better when the prices are good

I love it when I find a place run by local folks that offers good food at a fair price that I just want to brag about. I'd say you've definitely found one in The Burger Barn.

That's a very creative name, especially for a small place. Glad your food there was good.

Those types of places are almost always the best kind. Out of the way, roadside places. You really got my curiosity piqued when you mentioned a Philly cheesesteak burrito though. I'm from that area and would love to compare with a truly good cheese steak. Unfortunately there are so many places even in the Philly area who don't know what they're doing.
