Writing with every digit I possess

This is my photograph of what must be one of the hardest working laptop keyboards in the county, if not the COUNTRY.

I will be absent from here for the next few days, because, I submit, m'lud, that I am an unreformed wordnerd.

I will therefore be putting the world to rights on the screen, in print and tweet, as fast as I can and as often as I can.

At last count, I had a requirement to produce 2,000 words and somewhere in the region of 50 tweets in the next three days. I also have a dayjob that requires me to:

  • attend a 2 hour meeting tomorrow, take notes and type them up
  • write reports on two different surveys
  • write an Idiot's Guide to setting yourself up on the network for our new starters

It's a good thing I like writing, is all I'll say...

Those poor digits will be worked to the bone! Hope you enjoy your writing.

I would say you will be quite busy the next two days.

I became tired just reading about what you have to do. Good luck and treat those fingers to a nice massage now and then. : )

It is a good thing you like writing. I could never do all of that with a time limit.

That photograph which I...ah. Purple-baby-san in all his glory is now restored to the top of this post.

I better had, the amount of it I need to get through...

A very observant comment, Mr Davis. Just giving fingers and brain a short rest before returning to the next piece of work.

Wrapping them round a hot cup of tea or water, or a cold glass of wine later in the day, will be about as much as they manage in the next 48, I fear. Every spare waking second is spent creating something, it seems. Maybe I'm turning into the Kevin Bacon of the writing world - constantly working. Worse fates could befall me.

I highly doubt I will, as dayjob has chosen this week to go up with a bang as well. I need to be in about three places at once for the next few days!

Those digits will be tyoing up a storm in the next couple of days! Remember to take care of them as they took care of you!

Oh you bet. Their rewards are many and varied, from getting out of the washing up, to being smothered in rich hand cream and going to bed tucked snugly around my husband on one side and my favorite teddy bear on the other.

Hand cream... now, I want to get a soothing hand spa!
