Flawed By Kate Avelynn

I've just finished reading Flawed By Kate Avelynn and let me tell you it makes me very grateful for the life that I have.

The main character follows a teenage girl called Sarah who lives with her mentally ill and abused mother, a drunk and violent father, and a brother who will do anything to protect her and keep her safe.

Sarah doesn't have anything normal going on in her life, that is until her brother's friend same takes an interest in her. Sarah has finally found some happiness in the form of same, but its more complicated than that, because being with same means breaking a promise to her brother that they made when they were children.

While this book is far from a comfortable read, but it is something that is worth reading because it brings to light some dark subjects that most people would rather not talk about.

This book is marketed as young adult, even though it contains a lot of adult content.
