We have a dining room table again
Woke up to bright sunshine this morning, so I decided to make the most of it and tidy up the conservatory before I sat down to write and sort out eBay sales.
The good news is that after three hours of tidying, sorting out, throwing out and recycling, we have a dining room table again. Instead of a pile of boxes and packaging , the dining room table is in full view, with just three piles of mailing pouches and my weighing scales on it.
The horse bedding is now up to having two boxes, a bag and a half full, and that's before the old envelopes which are going in there tomorrow. I've broken down loads of old boxes for the horse bedding pile, flattened three better boxes for use for eBay sales, kept one intact to send a fleece out in later, and filed all the loose receipts and paperwork in carrier bags for later checking off statements. One bag for the supermarket, one for the department store, one for the online receipts and one for miscellaneous paperwork so far. All the address labels are in an envelope to go in the shredder at work, there's an envelope of bits for my friend who makes cards and another for another friend who makes jewelry. They use old stickers, ribbons and clothes hanging loops, buttons, bits of interesting paper and plastics, sequins, confetti, that kind of thing.
The plastic packaging is in one box, the carrier bags in another and the bubblewrap in a third. Seeing as I'm going to be listing some kitchen glasses soon, I need a bit of bubblewrap and packaging. The recycling bag in the kitchen is about full too, so Mr C can take that out later when he takes a few other things out to the garage.
I've found the reel of bubblewrap I promised my colleague. All 100m of it. For £7 from eBay...
Talking of which, next task is to finish packing up my eBay sales then I'll have to haul myself out of the chair and wander down to the PO to post them. I also need to go shopping and then I have some more work to do creating content for a contact's website as well as listing some more eBay items.
Tomorrow we can head up to the household waste site and the homeless charity warehouse with a few bits and pieces, and we may even manage to deliver some items to the museum and the bubblewrap to my colleague's house as well.
I still have a few forlorn piles of papers lying around but I'll get to those tomorrow or Monday as well as the large crate with the envelopes in it. But now, those eBay sales need dealing with so I can take them to the Post Office before it closes.
