A Few Thoughts Before I Head to My Bedroom

In the wee hours of Thursday morning, there is a quiet peacefulness with the light rain. I am beginning to yawn and will be crawling into bed shortly.

There were a couple of good phone calls today--one with my sister; the other with our team travel coordinator. Rolf. As things are beginning to take shape and become more solidified, it is beginning to feel "real." I should be notified shortly of my travel plans.

Tonight I went to dinner with a friend to Fujiyama's, a local Japanese Steak House. I wonder how "authentic" these are, but it was nice to see my friend, and have a nice dinner. I am still full seven hours later.

It is time (1 a.m.) for me to get myself to bed. I am nearly falling asleep now, so need to lock up, take my meds, and turn off the lights.

Make sure you check out the Top 3 finalists in the BEST CAPTION Contest , and place your votes! Voting will be open until 10 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, the 9th.

Goodnight, friends...

I once went to a Japanese steak house in Annapolis, Maryland, and found out that the chef was Chinese!

Paulie emoticon  We have lots of Chinese restaurants here and most of the chefs are Pakistanis. Usually only the cashier is the Chinese who is also the owner and the manager.

I will have to remember this the next time I travel to Pakistan and want to eat in a Chinese restaurant.

Listening to steady rain while in bed is very relaxing.I used to use a DVD of a rainstorm to get my granddaughter to sleep. It worked well.

You truly are a night owl for I am usually an early bird and enjoy sunrises.
