A Little Birdie Told Me...

...that someone is having a birthday on Friday. I would never have known, but it popped up in my Google calendar.

Now that being said, any of you who seem to think that you have much anonymity in today's world, it just goes to show you what technology has done to change the world and the culture in which we live. As much as we try to believe it is not true, we are changing right along with it, whether we want to or not.

The very people who complain about "the kids nowadays," are ones who also benefit from and use this same technology. The days of writing things on calendars on the wall, I think, are over.

So, I would like to be the first to wish Mr. Kasman a very happy birthday on Friday! May your day be filled with much love and many memories to take you through another year!!

Was it a coincidence that the captcha on this was "big brother"??

It's amazing the things you can google nowadays! Sometimes though, this isn't a good thing at all. Fortunately, this time that isn't the case!

He's goingtobe 19 and in a holding pattern, right?

You're turning 21 right? :P Lol.

Speaking of people who complain about the kids nowadays. I had a "older" gentleman complain about how I was on my phone while I was at WalMart and then whip out his iPhone. Lol.

It's amazing the type of information people willingly share online; particularly in an era of identity theft. Dates still make it on wall calendars in this place, though very few people ever make it inside to see the calendar, let alone note the dates. Change is only 'necessary' when we deem it so or determine it is more convenient. Of course, once we make that decision, we can't complain about a 'lack of privacy' since we're the ones 'violating' it.

With all that said... Happy Birthday Kasman .

Yeah. But, his conversation was 'important' - to him. Your's didn't mean anything - to him. So...

Happy Birthday to our resident Scotsman, Kasman ! You'll have to share with us if there are any particular birthday celebrations that are unique to your part of the world. : )

Nice to find that special event with the help of technology.

I still use a calendar though along with technology for you never know when 'crashes' will occur.

It is true that we can not truly hide anymore. Happy Birthday Kasman

This is another reason why you are so successful on Persona Paper. You go out of your way to learn the birthdays of all of your followers. Let me also wish Kasman a very happy birthday.

Actually, Paulie ... He showed up on my Google calendar, because he has it on his Google+ and he ( Kasman ) is in my circle.

After we have dooked for haggis and chased Nessie around the loch a bit a Scots birthday is actually pretty ordinary! emoticon :winking:

Seriously, I thought you were 57 or 58. I just turned 60 in August.
