Uploading Videos from My Phone to YouTube

I wish I understood technology better. I either do not have the aptitude or I do not like the process of having to learn things that seem this complicated. It seems to me that technology should be able to work with the touch of a button.

Unfortunately, that is not the case. At least, not for me.

I have taken several video clips with my phone (a Samsung Galaxy SII) and I cannot seem to email them to myself or upload them to my computer. Nor can I upload them to YouTube.

I have no idea why, except that it talks about them being too large and that the phone does not have enough memory, or a variety of other excuses that technology uses to show me just how stupid I have become.

I hope that someone technology-savvy stops by to give you a hand here. The best/most I am able to do is email photos from my phone to my email, but it sometimes takes a few days for the emails to actually arrive. Go figure!

I wish I could help but I can top that one. I got an e-mail with attachments, when I hit the reply button it told me it was too large to send. How I can I receive it then?

I understand that! Same here!

I have no idea either. I think we are (three of us, at least) in the same boat here.

That is also a problem to me. I have never tried uploading anything in youtube yet. Its complicated! LOL

While I enjoy YouTube videos and even learned how to embed them in my HubPage articles I have not yet attempted to upload any of my own.

I am trying to think about who has done that. Wait, doesn't wolfgirl569 upload videos?

CoralLevang wrote on October 4, 2015, 10:34 PM

It just seems so complicated, and doesn't come with clear instructions that I understand. LOL

I can upload videos from my Samsung Galaxy Grand easily to my laptop, but when i do they are rotated 90 degrees to the left. Before uploading them to Youtube, I have to run them through a free Microsoft program, but when I do, I can rotate the picture back to what is recorded on my phone, but the width of the recording is compressed 50 percent. This is my problem.

I have no idea how to do what you can do.

If I ever figure it out, I will certainly let you know.
