Final Results of September's Writing Goals

It is difficult to believe that September passed so quickly and we are now well on our way to October. So it is time to look at how efforts matched up to the goals set for September. (Click link to see full article.)

The month was full of many things, even though I have not worked a job (since July 20th). There were chunks of time that I was gone completely. But I tried to stay focused and not give up, despite how life throws a curve ball or two. That, perhaps, is the most difficult for us all--once we have a few days of doing nothing, we give up and see it as a failure. It is not, and we just get back up and continue where we left off.

My goals were simple:

  • 100 Coins daily for 3000 monthly coins
  • 3 Articles daily for 90 monthly
  • "Stretch" goals
    • Read and comment on no fewer than 10 new post
    • 5000 Coins added for month
    • 100 Articles for month
  • Stay positive, continue to encourage others, and celebrate the small victories

The results:

  • 3820 Coins earned for the month
  • 91 Articles submitted
  • $5.72 Earned

All-in-all, this was a successful month, though I did not get to read and comment as much as I would have liked. Both my targets of total coins and articles for the month were reached!

The victories:

  • Posted daily
  • Exceeded daily goal of 3 articles on 9 days, including two days each of 5 and 7 articles
  • Averaged 127.67 coins daily, including 8 days of coins exceeding 150
  • Four days earned more than 200 coins--227, 213, 295, and 227

Thanks to all for your support in helping reach these levels.

(Stay tuned for October's goals)

I do let my mind wander, so I am in no danger of reaching your totals!

good job! I'm keeping daily track for all of October, to see where it puts me as it ends and we move into November.

CoralLevang wrote on October 2, 2015, 12:49 PM

*laughs* I am not so sure why that might be "dangerous!"

CoralLevang wrote on October 2, 2015, 12:50 PM

I have been tracking via spreadsheet since mid-August.

lexiconlover wrote on October 2, 2015, 12:52 PM

I should probably be doing that. But I track on paper with a pen. I know old school.

Congratulations!!!! I am trying to do almost what you are trying to do. I can usually get at least three daily articles, but chores most times get in the way. When all the yard chores are completed for the year pretty soon I will be able to read and write more even with the holidays coming up.

Good target setting and hopefully no burn out!

You really rocked the month of September. I haven't kept track of my progress other than checking the bank every day or so, and now and then updating my total online earnings spreadsheet. I was doing that daily before the school year started back up.

Thanks, DW!

Well a really good progress report.Well with 15 articles on some days, you will definitely do better in October.I wish you best of luck.

I am not sure that I can write 15 in a day too often. Maybe once a month? but I am convinced that 3-5 should be no problem most days. Thank you so very much.
