Your better than me?

I went for a one day job yesterday as a temp worker in a nearby town and it was a very eye-opening experience to say the least. The job was a pretty physical one which was fine by me. My only problem was that the permanent employees with the company seemed to looked down on me. Yes, I'm wasn't a full time employee but I am a person. The idea that some people would think that they are better than you for that reason is strange to me. I never asked my previous employer to lay me off due to a struggling economy. Trust me, I would love to be a full-time employee somewhere and not have to struggle to provide for my family. The idea that someone would want to put someone else down or look down on them is sad sight to experience. Am I hurt by this? No!!! As I try not to let things like that affect me. The way that I look at it is that I came in this world with my pride and I intend on leaving it with it. No one is any better than anyone else....we have all just taken different paths along the way.

I have had countless temp jobs and never experienced anyone looking down on me. Usually it was a case of being totally ignored as I was not one of them. Fine by me. So often I was glad it was a temp job because I couldn't stand the job if permanent.

I've had temp jobs as well. Always felt like an outsider. Can't say my feelings were hurt as there was never a chance of getting hired full time.

There is no reason for the full-time employees to look down on you. Did you sense that maybe they were afraid you were going to take their job?

that's a great attitude about the matter. Hopefully, you get a permanent job real soon. I have been a temp worker before and it isn't fun.
