Giving Up on PP for Tonight

For some reason, I am having a hard time reading and commenting on Persona Paper tonight. It seems to be lagging horribly, which is unusual this time of the morning (1:30 a.m. PDT) for me.

I thought it may be my computer, but I went to Pogo to play a little Mah Jong and it was not quite as slow as here. The ads are really bogging things down tonight in both places.

Perhaps it is the universe telling me that I should be asleep already. I am yawning and I probably do not need the brain stimulation of the computer, Mah Jong or the light.

So, I am going to call it a night, shut down the computer, and get some sleep. Goodnight or good day, wherever you are.

Where did you learn how to play Mah Jong? I played a little before but was never very good.

CoralLevang wrote on September 27, 2015, 5:03 AM

I learned online. I've never played otherwise.

I think it would be more fun for you having the tiles in your hand and playing with three other people.

No problem on my side. Hopefully things will run a lot smoother for you in the morning. Have a good night sleep! :D

I agree with Paulie. It's a lot more fun to play with the actual tiles. However, it's hard to find enough people to play, lol. You'd also have to set up the table, the tiles, and the chips.

I find it hard work on my tablet but I think that's because it's the tablet. The PC is not too bad.

Ads can make a website slow to load but what to do? That is where the revenue comes from. Perhaps you need a good night's sleep and start afresh in the morning. Good night and sweet dreams.

I hope you got a good night's sleep. I got K hooked playing Mah Jong online. I learned to play in Korea but never was able to beat any of my Korean friends at the game.

A good night's rest is always a good thing. Hopefully today you won't have the same issues with the site. : )

On such a subject I cannot comment, though I am commenting. I worry a little that the structure inclines us to be hamsters. Nothing wrong with hamsters. Just - I preferred being a person.

A little mah jong certainly does help. Any light activity that stimulates the brain is indeed a good way to fall asleep.

About mah jong, I remember my father side of the family used to have all day mah jong sessions every weekend. Relatives and friends would show up and we'd set up five to eight tables at home so everyone can play.

I hear you. I make a good effort at being hamster sometimes, just to get the wheel turning, but I find that once the momentum is in place, being a person becomes easier, Squidwhisperer . emoticon :winking:

Actually, this doesn't help me fall asleep. It stimulates the brain, and I cannot get it to shut off.
