a quick check in from the hospital

good morning! I am sitting here in the hospital dining hall and just had a bowl of oatmeal and an omelet. RGD was wheeled into the surgery room about 8 o'clock in the morning. it is now almost 9 o'clock. They expect him to be out by noon. I was unable to sleep, but I did fall asleep about 3:30, so not a deep sleep until after 4. Then I was up at 5 o'clock. I will likely head back to the room this afternoon for a nap, before coming back this evening to visit with him. apparently this is pretty routine, and they do this laparoscopically with robotic equipment. I was teasing him that r2d2 was doing his surgery. he was in good spirits when they took him back, & I think he will be fine. just getting things over and done with. So that you can get on and heal. after his heart surgery valve replacement, and aneurysm repair, this should be a piece of cake as far as recovery time. of course, there's a little apprehension about the staging process of the cancer, but the doctors say that they will not take any lymph nodes unless there's suspicious tissue when they get in there. thank you to all for your prayers and healing thoughts. and please, forgive my lack of format and or proper punctuation and spelling. I'm doing this on my smartphone with the voice activation so goodness only knows what it looks like when it prints!

As far as voice dictation goes, it actually turned out pretty good. Lol, I was just about to email you and see how the day was progressing. Glad things seem to be going well so far.

Hoping that all goes smoothly and RGD resumes his good mood when he awakens. Prayers.

Thank you for keeping use close to what's happening with you and yours. When we don't hear from you, we wonder. I admire your strength to carry on.

The post turned out good for doing it on your phone. Glad to hear he was in good spirits and hope he is resting comfortably by now as it is almost 3 here for me

I am guessing he is out of surgery by now. I pray all went well and nothing unexpected was found. Your voice activation system seems to be working nicely.

I'm sure your friend RGD will come out of this operation well. I will have to try the voice activation on my smartphone because I just hate using the virtual keyboard with my wide fingers. Your post is great with no errors!
