A Windy Sunday Morning

I woke up rather late this morning, only an hour or so ago, not having slept well last night. I was awakened by the blinds slapping against my windows, and the winds whipping through the trees. I rose to close the windows on the upstairs landing to reduce the cross-ventilation and it has quieted things a bit.

It is nearly sacrilege for me to be in bed at 10:45 a.m. It is also equal a violation not to be up and dressed over an hour a later. These two statements are my late mother's lessons that still hang on tightly.

At as noon will strike about the time I actually submit this, I will get up and start my day. It will be a lovely one, as it is already 70F degrees. We may have a bit of rain later today, but now it is windy with 20mph winds and clouds in the sky.

Your mother would understand. Your body needed the rest with all that was going on in your life recently.

If you haven't slept well, then sleeping in when you are able to, is good for you. I am normally an early morning person (and late at night, it's nearly 11.30pm here) but if I can sleep in, I feel happy about it, because then I know I will not feel tired later on and also sleep rests and renews the body.

Glad you got to sleep in and hope it has been a great day.

Wasn't there some satisfaction of flaunting the rules?
