Under Five Thousand

At some point yesterday I passed the point where I have less than five thousand coins to gather before I hit the much striven for goal of 13,334 coins. My next major milestone will be when I hit ten thousand and one coins as that will mark having reached the three-quarter point of my journey.

I need to remember to share my articles on other social media such as Twitter and Google+. I did include a link on my blog post this morning to my profile page hoping that will drive a few more views. My blog is something else I need to try and bring more attention to, but between working the day job, working on my next novel, keeping up with my online reading and writing, and spending time with the missus, I just don't have the time to effectively promote my writing like I should. Perhaps when I retire.

You're getting pretty close to cashing out! I'm cheering for you. :)

You are writing a novel what is it about. You do have a lot on your plate.

Nice ! I have way less than that--but not posting as much. Too darn busy with other things. ;p

I'm trying mmy best to not use Fakebook. I really don't want Fakebook friends interacting with me here.

(Or, is this just reverse peeeeesychology?)

Thank you for cheering me on. If it weren't for this pesky idea I have about writing another book I could spend even more time posting and commenting. But there's this reader I know who is really hoping I get another book out soon.

Thank you. You and lexiconlover have inspired me to make a stronger effort to cash out before Christmas and I'm starting to feel like I can do it.

Thirteen thousand three hundred and thirty-four coins. Doesn't it look more impressive spelled out. 8-)

I have two book projects currently underway but will soon pick one to concentrate on and finish up in time for publication next summer. One of them is a continuation of my River Dream series but focuses on the next generation of the Lanier family. The main character is the younger son of Michael Lanier, the main character in River Dream.

The other project is the first in a new series based on a fictional island off the North Carolina coast. Like the River Dream and Buzby Beach books, it is a coming of age story told from the male perspective but is intended for a little older audience than the other two series.

I am very choosy about which posts from PP I share on FB, and then I usually only share them through my author page and not my personal page.

Are your books available at Barnes and Nobel or other bookstores. I like books of this nature.

DWDavisRSL wrote on September 19, 2015, 8:59 PM

My books are available as eBooks through Barnes & if you are a Nook reader. The River Dream books are on Amazon in paperback and for Kindle. Currently the first Buzby Beach book is available in Kindle format only on Amazon. The second Buzby Beach book is available for Kindle on Amazon and Nook at Barnes and I hope to have both Buzby Beach books available in paperback by the end of the year.
